ABOUT EMILY ABUHAJLEH

Hospitality has become the defining focus of my career, bringing together everything I value professionally: human connection, creativity, energy, and the ability to shape meaningful experiences. While studying Economics at Cal Poly, concentrating in Quantitative Analysis, I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills that continue to inform how I approach operations, efficiency, and leadership in fast-paced, people-driven environments.Alongside my studies, I held leadership roles within Kappa Alpha Theta and the wider Panhellenic community and volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club, mentoring and tutoring young students. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, empathy, and adaptability — qualities that now sit at the core of my hospitality leadership style. After graduating, my career took me across industries and continents, including financial services in the U.S. and healthcare logistics in New Zealand. At Cubro, a leading medical equipment provider, I progressed from Trials Coordinator to Leading Hand of the Trials team, supporting people development, building performance frameworks, and refining my approach to leadership. Across each role, the common thread was people: understanding needs, solving problems, and delivering consistently high standards of service. In recent years, I made a deliberate transition back into hospitality, an industry I have always been drawn to. Relocating to London felt like a natural step, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be building my career in one of the world’s hospitality epicentres. The diversity, pace, creativity, and standards of London’s hospitality scene continue to challenge and inspire me daily.I began my London hospitality journey with Be At One, developing my leadership skills in a high-volume, guest-driven environment. I have since joined Inception Group and am currently completing my Duty Manager and management training induction at Mr. Fogg’s Tavern & Gin Parlour on St. Martin’s Lane — the original Mr. Fogg’s tavern location, celebrated for its beautiful venue, high-traffic setting, and exceptional team culture. Training within such an iconic, experience-led brand has been an invaluable opportunity to deepen my understanding of storytelling, service excellence, and brand-led hospitality.I’m excited to continue growing within premium, experience-driven hospitality, learning from outstanding teams, and contributing to venues that create genuinely memorable guest experiences.
