ABOUT EMILIO SESSA

I am an environmental engineer (MEng and Beng) with the add-on of being an MBA graduate at the Bologna Business School in green energy and sustainability business. I have a broad and diverse experience spanning from academic research (I hold a MESci too) to big IT Companies like Infosys and Microsoft. I define myself a very principled, disciplined and sharp witty person, and I like going to the witty-gritty part of each topic. I like listening as well as speak up assertively despite the role of my colleague (superior, peer, or subordinate). In the Academia I published as reservoir engineer on scientific journals and cooperated with the research team of chemical engineering and petroleum geo-science. My mangers used to describe me down-to-earth, thoughtful and inquisitive too and this pleases me indeed. I managed in sales and fulfillment area global and local incentives on contracts and then moved to the quality team as manager for the Client, I led my quality and knowledge-management team and coordinated the trainings for the induction of newcomers to the operations and about data privacy and GDPR implementation. I was in charge for internal and external audits assessments and for the risk management too. I managed table-top activities for business continuity plan which I was in charge to edit to report to the Global Operation Head. I run different project within the LEAN framework to implement best practices and kaizens. Ultimately, I was assigned the task of Global Content Manager of Knowledge Base articles maintenance, with exclusive reviewing and publishing rights. Actually I cooperate as a freelancer with Carbon Credits Consulting and I am well experienced in calculation of carbon footprints and carbon reduction roadmap planning. I am an expert reviewer for the 6th IPCC SOD and I facilitate workshops or leadership talks in different entities like Business School, to professionals.
