Lead editor of the blog section of the first student-led human rights journal in Scotland. USHRJ is an open-access peer-reviewed journal that showcases research in the field of Human Rights. The blog secion aims to contribute to pressing debates, spotlight the voices of emerging and established scholars and celebrate the vibrant, interdisciplinary nature of human rights scholarship. My duties include screening articles for relevance and reviewing and editing content liaising with the Academic Advisory Team.

ABOUT EMILIA VASSILIADES
I am a second-year PhD student funded by the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), part of the \'People on the Move\' research cluster. My research focuses on tracking social, political and legal narratives of externalisation of the asylum procedure in the UK and the EU. I possess prior experience in activism, research and law including at the United Nations.
