Recruited to tell the value story of dental education with data, messaging and visualizations. Redeveloped the research team and building the data infrastructure. Part of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief of Educational Services. • Strategic Planning. Directing the research agenda, managing research priorities to meet the association’s goals, and managing research budget. Hired and training a team of data scientists and researchers.• Storytelling with Data and Visuals. Working on telling the story of dental education, at the intersection of oral health, health workforce and higher education with data, messaging and visuals. Transforming ADEA’s proprietary data into differentiated high-value offerings that support the association’s communication and advocacy activities. Led the creation of the ADEA Data Portal and the ADEA Trends in Dental Education.• Data Infrastructure. Supervising the implementation of ADEA’s research data infrastructure. Supervising staff coding in Python, R and using SQL.• Data Science. Overseeing several large data science projects, from data collection, data modeling, data engineering to data viz and data storytelling. With healthcare and higher education data. • Alliance Partnerships and Committees. Managing ADEA’s Policy and Research Advisory Committee that provides insight and perspective on current and emerging issues in dental education.
