ABOUT EMIL GULIYEV
I am currently working as the Digital Technology Manager - Portfolio Manager at South and Central Asia (SCA) Division of Voice of America - the largest U.S. international broadcaster under Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA produces digital, TV, and radio content in more than 44 languages. In my current position, I oversee digital activities in 10 language services ranging from Turkey to Bangladesh. I ensure our digital asset processing workflows meet the needs of the Agency both for current and future access to sound files and radio program masters, and access to VOA original interviews and footage. I also monitor and develop tracking / auditing reports that reflect service and staff milestones, for use as employee feedback as well as status reports for Branch and Division management. I was also recently become a member of recently established Technology Investment Review Board which discusses and reviews the technical architecture of an IT solution, create technical standards, approves new technical insertions, and addresses major technical issues that arise throughout the lifecycle of any IT initiative for application at the Voice of America.
