ABOUT EMILE AUBLET
I lead the implementation of Design Systems and tools that transform how digital teams work together.At the National Bank of Canada, I launched a Design System now used by over 100 designers and developers. Starting with the client portal, we scaled it to mobile apps and other digital products across the bank. The main challenge was securing executive buy-in and adoption across teams, so we positioned the system as a product, treating developers and designers as users. Today, it\'s fully integrated, supported by a growing Design Ops team.At FLO EV Charging, we faced different challenges: tight deadlines and a team of mostly backend developers. We built the system quickly but focused on simplicity and extensibility, using well-known and reliable technologies to allow for future improvements. Over time, we refined it, developing a dedicated documentation platform (design.flo.com) and empowering front-end teams across FLO’s portals, apps, and charger interfaces.Building systems and driving cultural shifts in design and development is my focus.
