About David A. Emery
Born and raised in Greater Cincinnati, David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati where he was a successful Cincinnatus and Honors Program participant. He also holds a post-graduate certificate in teaching for higher education from Temple University where he taught geography and urban studies.His highly varied work experience includes marketing for SHP Leading Design, managing SparkPeople.com’s former local non-profit division, and conducting land-use planning research for the OKI Regional Council of Governments. Having studied and lived abroad in Queretaro, Mexico and Toulouse, France, he speaks both Spanish and French (albeit with an undoubtedly American accent) and loves opportunities to practice.He currently works in fundraising for the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the sixth largest United Way in the country, and is also a contributing writer for UrbanCincy, the premier source for urban development news in Greater Cincinnati.
