Responsible for creating an environment supportive of creative thinking, innovation and transformation across the entire Library organization with the sole intent of delivering to customers and communities the best program of library service via design and partnerships- Support the CEO and Library Executive Leadership to set the vision and strategy of the Library and implementation of the vision through goals, operations, policies, procedures and practices as directed by the Board of Trustees and County Government- Contribute to the long-term health of the organization through system-wide planning and budgeting- Help facilitate and guide change through the library enterprise including but not limited to service model changes, technology and facility updates, and processes and procedural changes- Oversee and lead special projects identified as priorities for the Library system- Represents the Library at the local, state, national and international levels- Identify and develop relationships with public and private sector agencies to support the work of the library.

As the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, I support the CEO and the Executive Leadership team to set and implement the vision and strategy of the library, and to deliver the best program of library service to the customers and communities.As a certified public librarian with a Master of Library and Information Science degree, I believe that societies are made stronger by providing equitable access to knowledge and information, fostering community collaboration, and promoting intellectual freedom.
