ABOUT EMERY CILLUFFO

A member of the A&R team at Position Music, Emery serves as the executive assistant to Mark Chipello (President). While interning with the label A&R team at NWS Music Group as an undergraduate, Emery discovered a way to harness her lifelong love for music and turn it in to a career. At NWS, she scouted unsigned records for single-song deals and worked on projects for artists like Sekou, No Guidnce, and Mulaa Joans. She then set out to marry her passion for artist development with her background in international studies to forge a path in a hyper-globalized industry. Her A&R internship with Position Music resulted in valuable music publishing experience and gave her an opportunity to carve out a niche for herself as an expert in the K-pop industry. After 8 months as an A&R intern with Position, Emery joined the team full-time in 2025 as Mark Chipello\'s Executive Assistant. As an EA, she continues to work across both the label and publishing A&R teams, in addition to supporting clients such as Tyrone Wells and Welshly Arms, managing Position\'s press releases, and consulting on the company\'s K-pop projects and overall strategy for the South Korean music industry. Emery\'s genre specializations include rock, pop, and K-pop. Emery graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2024. She was awarded with two BAs in International Relations (International Security & Diplomacy; Asia) and Linguistic Studies. In 2025, Emery graduated with a Master of Science in Music Industry from the University of Southern California\'s Thornton School of Music. While at Thornton, Emery co-managed an upcoming singer-songwriter, threw a successful bar show (with zero budget!), and planned a marketing campaign and complete brand revamp for a local band.
