Emercio J. He is admitted to practice law according to the laws and customs of the State of Illinois, USA, and Venezuela. He was an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Zulia - Venezuela (20••••18), and Adjunct Professor at FAMU College of Law (Orlando, FL. 20••••19) Since 2015, he is the CEO of the American Institute for Democracy, Justice, and Human Rights Education, Inc. In 2017, he founded \"AE Immigration Law Office, P.A.\", law firm dedicated exclusively to immigration law. In 2020 he started as a Collaborator Professor at the Open University of Catalonia. Since 2018 he is a member of the Public International Law, Human Rights and Global Justice Committee of the Florida Bar International Law Section. During the 20••••19 period he was the Chair of the working group on global recruitment and human rights education and from July 2019 he has served as its Chair. He has not only been invited as a lecturer or speaker by universities from Colombia, Chile, Brazil, USA and Venezuela, but also he has developed an important research agenda that has resulted in the publication of books as well as scholarly articles in law Journals, bulletins, and collective books from Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, United States of America and Venezuela. He holds an LL.M magna cum laude (University of Notre Dame – USA), two Ph.Ds. in Law with outstanding grades (University of Zulia - Venezuela and University of Cordoba - Spain); an LL.M with remarkable grades (Francisco de Vitoria University – Spain); a Diploma in Human Rights, Constitutional Guarantees, and International Systems of protection with special mention (UNICA-Venezuela); the Academic Certificate of the IIDH (Costa Rica); and a Law Degree (J.D. equivalent) cum laude (USM - Venezuela)Emercio J.
