Arts Collective formally known as NN Contemporary Art (est. 2003) is a Contemporary Art Gallery, Artist Studio Complex, Project Space, Public Art Consultancy and visual arts education centre in The Cultural Quarter, Northampton. In 2018 NN Contemporary achieved Arts Council England, NPO (National Portfolio Organisation) status. As part of my role I am responsible for directing the vision, strategic planning and operational running of the organisation. As the main advocate of NN, I oversee the programme; exhibitions, commissions, events, publications, residencies and community-focused initiatives. I direct the Snr management team, designing (and implementing) delivery across the organisation. I oversee all development relationships, from setting the organisational budget, to fundraising for the programme, liaising with funding bodies, supporters and composing bids/ initiating and developing partnerships. The organsiation plays a key role in shaping the region\'s cultural strategy, establishing cultural networks locally, nationally and internationally. We operate through imperative partnerships with The University of Northampton, The West Northants Council, MK Gallery, and The Royal & Derngate (amongst others). As part of my role I have developed new digital and educational initiatives across hybrid digital physical experiences, spaces such as the Digital Art Library, Civic Reading Room & and training to employment programme NN Ambassadors.
