ABOUT EMELIA PRINGLE

Hello! I am in my final year of Mechanical Engineering and Society at McMaster. My science and engineering interests include aerospace, sustainability, and fluid mechanics. I have a passion for human rights activism and political science. I have begun a research project in the McMaster ICE Lab, geared towards simulations of robotic joints for space systems applications. Outside of class, I am the Co-President of the Engineering & Society Students Association, mentor for the McMaster chapter of Women in Engineering, a Faculty of Engineering Welcome Week Rep (Redsuit), and the Senior Mechanical Drawing Specialist for the McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite Team. I am also on the Sponsorship and branding sub-teams for the McMaster Concrete Canoe team, as well as a General Member on the McMaster Concrete Toboggan team. Finally, I am the Vocal Director (20••••26) and in the cast for the McMaster Engineering Musical, previously Producer/Co-President (20••••24). Last semester, I was a TA for the McMaster iLead Office (ENGSOCTY 3Y03), where I gave constructive feedback to students and gave a presentation about my 20••••25 year-long inquiry project. This semester, I am a TA for SUSTAIN 1S03, where I engage with students about sustainability within the Hamilton community and beyond. I am a well-rounded and intelligent engineering student. My ambition, work ethic, and dedication both in my studies and as a member of many clubs and teams keep me active in my community.
