ABOUT EMANUELE P. BECCHIA
Passionate about the cruise and ferry industry, my journey in the shipping sector was inspired by a childhood dream. I started my career as an Assistant Purser on passenger vessels. I then transitioned to the Asia cruise market as a Hotel Controller, ultimately becoming the Head of Passenger Services in the Baltic Sea. Throughout my time on board, I had the incredible opportunity to travel the globe, immersing myself in diverse cultures across regions from China to Russia, the USA to Northern Europe, and Japan to the Mediterranean. After several years at sea, I have made an exciting shift to onshore operations and am now part of the DFDS team in Trieste. In this role, I collaborate with both headquarters and the local team on various projects, focusing mostly on operational excellence, stakeholder management, and business development. I enjoy the challenges we face as a team and am eager to see what the future holds for me in the shipping industry!
