ABOUT EMANUELE BARBA

I graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from the University of Siena in 2011 and have been a licensed Pharmacist since 2013.My career began at Novartis V&D (Rosia Site - Siena) in 2011 as QA on the Shop Floor, overseeing the commercial production of vaccines in aseptic phases. In 2013, I expanded my role as QA Expert, adding SOP review, CAPA management, assessments, and investigations.In 2016, I became QA Team Coordinator for Aseptic Unit at GSK Vaccines, coordinating QA staff for oversight, BPR review, and phase release. I dealt with cross-functional collaboration for validation, sterility assurance improvements, tech transfer, change requests, CAPA, SOPs, technical reports, FMEA, and investigations of deviations.In 2020, I took on the challenge of improving my performance in the production environment by assuming the role of Team Coordinator for Filling & Visual Inspection. During this assignment, I obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification with a Scrap Reduction Project.In 2023, I took on the role of Inspection Readiness Specialist, ensuring the readiness of the Filling & Inspection department for regulatory inspections and acting as the department\'s main point of contact during inspections.In 2024, I returned to the quality department as QA Operational Manager, overseeing aseptic manufacturing unit activities.Throughout my career, I developed strong problem-solving skills and expertise in cGMP, vaccine production standards, aseptic processes, and sterility assurance, including experience during regulatory inspections (AIFA, FDA).
