My debut novel, BRIDE OF THE SEA, won the Arab American Book Award for fiction and was shortlisted for the William Saroyan International Prize for Literature. Based on the themes of my book, I gave the 2021 David and Sherry Berz Endowed Lecture at George Washington University. My speech was later published as an essay in the literary journal Kweli.I’m available for speaking engagements on themes related to my book, including global movement and immigration, Arab American literature, fiction writing, publishing, and faith.
