I\'m a writer. And a walking typo. Yep, my name\'s pronounced \"em-uh-lee.\" It’s all thanks to a chance clerical error on my birth certificate made blatantly obvious by the charming film “Amelie.”Ever since, serendipity—along with hard work, patient mentors, dedicated partners and skilled proofreaders—have played a hand in shaping a life I’m lucky enough to live. Exhibit A? My career path. I began in public relations promoting indie bands and media training professional bull riders and snowboarders. As fate would have it, this love of sharing stories through public relations led to an opportunity to craft them as a traditional copywriter within the same agency.In the years since I’ve learned from some brilliant minds at various agencies.Beyond the keyboard, I feed a healthy ocean obsession by scuba diving. On land, my newly preferred mode of moving is by motorcycle. On weekends, you’ll find me, my partner Andrew and our dog Taco taking in Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis (yes, that would make him a walking taco).
