Passionate about advancing metal additive manufacturing, I focus on making processes smart and efficient. My work bridges fundamental research and engineering-based approaches to improve the quality of final printed parts for both current and newly developed materials. This includes optimizing process parameters and implementing design modifications informed by thermal analysis: Thermal, stress, and thermally induced distortion analysis using Netfabb (local, Ultimate, advanced toolpath), Abaqus (DEFLUX), and non-linear Ansys. Developing new scanning strategies (scan patterns, printing sequences) and optimizing process parameters (laser specifications, etc.) using Netfabb Advanced Toolpath Utility, Abaqus, Matlab, etc. Developing physics-based and data-driven models (graph theory, FDM). In situ thermography with infrared cameras.
