Case Manager, Core +, Collaborative Teacher in: Ecology, Biology, English 11, and Government; Interim Department Chair & certified Culturally Responsive Teacher. I created the curriculum for Core+ and Study Skills. Core+ and Study Skills are comprehensive programs designed to equip high school students with the academic, executive functioning, and social-emotional skills necessary for success in and beyond school. These courses integrate self-awareness, self-regulation, responsible decision-making, and interpersonal skill development with targeted instruction in executive functioning, reading, and math remediation.In addition to direct support in Core subject areas (grades 9-12), the coursesfoster improved comprehension and content completion through personalized instructional strategies. In Study Skills, collaboration with students ensures instructional design meets the diverse needs of learners, while IEP accommodations are provided to create an equitable learning environment. Through this holistic approach, students develop resilience, confidence, and the skills needed to thrive academically and personally.
