03/16/2022 12:14 A.M. ETWhen I was little, I wanted to be a doctor because I wanted to help people. I wanted to make a change in the medical system in my native country, Cameroon which was and is still a disaster. Unfortunately, when I got older, I quickly realized the medical field was not my cup of tea but I still wanted to be able to help people… whatever that means. Being the introvert I am, I never thought I would find myself working in retail or anywhere with too much social interaction. But in 2017, I ended up at Rite Aid ( now Walgreens) as a CSA which involved me talking to customers all day long, among several other tasks. Over the years, I became both a cashier and a therapist to most of my regular customers. Although I was helping people through my words of encouragement and occasional discounts, I realized that while words of encouragement might be helpful, financial help is what most people need to get through life. I then switched to from retail to Tech as a Security Control Assessor and I have been working in Tech since then.Blessed to be a blessing
