ABOUT ELVIRA SANCHEZ DE MALICKI
Elvira holds an Executive MBA from Queen\'s University. She is the founder and president of the Canadian Hispanic-Latin American Virtual Museum and the Founding President of the Canadian Hispanic Congress. Elvira has also served, among others, on the Boards of the Canadian Ethnocultural Council, the National Association of Immigrant and Visible Minority Women of Canada, the Federal and Ontario Councils on Multiculturalism and Citizenship, Harbourfront Centre, Telefilm Canada and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. For almost 30 years, Ms Sánchez de Malicki worked on television as host, news anchor and independent producer. She also founded Open Experience Theatre, directed and produced award winning productions and organized numerous festivals, conferences and events including the Los Hispanos Pavilion for Caravan. Elvira has received numerous awards from the Governments of Canada and Ecuador as well as from various communities including as one of 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians. Elvira is the business administrator for the Malicki Sanchez Law Firm.
