About Elvin Rosa
I’m currently in the MAMS program at Boston University School of Medicine after completing my undergraduate degree at BU in Biology with a minor in Public Health. I work as a research assistant at Boston Medical Center focusing on improving care retention for people with opioid use disorder after hospitalization. A lot of the work I care about centers on harm reduction and making sure people actually have access to treatment, which is why I also help lead overdose prevention workshops at Boys and Girls Clubs across Massachusetts. Through research, mentoring students, and community work, I’m hoping to become a physician who understands the structural barriers many patients face and can better support adolescents and underserved communities.
