About Elton Duro
My first procurement job was as a buyer in my family’s metal recycling business.Later, as a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate, I learned about heating and cooling while training HVAC installers and selling light commercial air-conditioning equipment in the warm climate of my home country, Brazil.My background in metals and procurement led me to Cummins Inc, where I sourced of a variety of metal components for engines and power-generation equipment. These positions allowed me to live in Mexico and China, where I passed the Mandarin proficiency test (HSK Level 4).Most recently, I returned to the HVAC industry as Category Leader for Finished Goods at Carrier Corporation, where I leverage my expertise in metals, procurement, HVAC, and languages in an exciting role partnering with some of the best global suppliers in the industry.
