About Elsie Mahaffey
After growing up in a small town, I craved diverse experiences. This led me to San Diego State University for my marketing degree, where I also studied abroad in Shanghai and Marseille. This thirst for knowledge continues to fuel my career.Fresh out of college, I joined Siege Media, a content marketing agency. Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked with a variety of client accounts, assisting with strategy, ideation, content creation, reporting and promotion. Currently, as Associate Director of Learning and Development, I spearhead initiatives to empower employees across all levels with the skills and knowledge to succeed.Everyone is marketing themselves. Every time they open their mouth or post a photo they are attempting to portray specific beliefs and interests. The previous paragraphs consisted of me trying to persuade you that I am an individual consumed with wanderlust but also focused on education and growth. I could have easily stated my love of crafting or hiking and you would have a different idea of who I am as a person. This is what intrigues me about marketing. I am interested in how companies view themselves and the steps they have taken to depict this.
