About Elshaimaa Ali

I\'m interested in semantic web technologies with focus on building domain knowledge and creating semantic annotation. I\'m passionate about interdisciplinary applications of Semantic Web technology, data analysis principles, and natural language processing algorithms. My main focus is, automating the creation of semantic models that explains entities and relations in the data of a given domain. The ultimate goal is building a domain knowledge base in the form of an interoperable ontology to be linked to other related data in different disciplines. Thus disclosing the isolated information in each domain and viewing it as part of the linked data cloud. My doctorate research involved building a framework for generating knowledge base for semantic annotations, which includes building a multi-layer annotation schema, creating semantic indices for documents, computing semantic relatedness.I graduated 2015 with a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. My research interest includes but not limited to knowledge modeling, text analysis, information retrieval natural language processing and data mining.
