ABOUT EVAN LOUGHLIN
Hi, I\'m Evan. I like tinkering with things. My passion is being in the intersection between traditional engineering and computational science.I\'m a software engineer with a wide breadth of experience across a multitude of different industries. I started as a Structural Engineer in Oil & Gas in 2012 (concrete, steel, piperack, hydrology, geotechnical design). I later spent a couple years working on bridges and marine infrastructure all across Canada\'s west coast.I retrained in Computer Science (BSc 2018), and came back into the industry working on military drones with Lockheed Martin, followed by MRI (medical imaging), High Performance Computing networks, and finally a marketing tech startup. During this time, I completed a MSc in Computer Science at GaTech, completing courses in computational photography, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, reinforcement learning, and deep learning.I currently work at Neara; an incredible, game-changing company that combines everything I like in one place, which has the power to revolutionize the electrical utilities industry.Check out my Portfolio: https://e-loughlin.github.io
