My primary responsibility is to perform numerical modeling of friction and wear between sliding, lubricated components in moving machinery. Responsibilities also include writing research proposals to government agencies and managing funded projects. On the whole, the results of this work feeds into the ongoing development of Sentient\'s innovative DigitalClone system. DigitalClone provides machinery operators with accurate predictions of the evolving condition of various critical components (gears, bearings, etc.), allowing operators to set maintenance schedules and optimize operating performance to extend the useful life of their equipment.
