ABOUT ELOISE ROSS

I have been working in the personal injury and clinical negligence sector treating and managing complex trauma cases since 2016, undertaking initial needs assessments and overseeing clinical rehabilitation plans for clients. I have treated clients with a wide variety of injuries such as amputations, multiple fractures, spinal cord injuries and head injuries. I also have experience of treating clients with pre-existing disabilities and complex co-morbidities. I am able to formulate rehabilitation plans taking all past medical history into account. Key Skills• Individual assessment of the physical, psychological and social needs of clients presenting with complex trauma injuries. • Liaising with other health professionals to organise and deliver bespoke rehabilitation programmes for clients.• Enabling clients to reach their personal goals of returning to work and hobbies.I have a special interest in providing clients who present with persistent pain symptoms with early intervention and treatment techniques. I use the bio-psycho-social model of treatment to holistically collaborate with the client in order to manage their pain appropriately. I will fully assess the psychological and social requirements of the client and make further specialist referral if indicated. I then work closely with the client to help them manage their pain independently. Whilst working in the NHS I took an active part in a research project called the ‘Way Forward’ where a tool was created for physiotherapists to assess a patient’s general health within their assessment. The research project was presented at Physiotherapy UK conference and a summary of the project is held at the National Institute of Health Research.
