ABOUT ELOISE PARRY-NWEYE
I am a Research Scientist with 5+ years of technical expertise in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, and infectious diseases. I am passionate about leveraging science and engineering to improve the health and well-being of people. Motivated by this purpose, my doctoral research aims to understand and mitigate infectious disease transmission. During my doctoral research, I advanced my research aims by utilizing my skills in: Nucleic acid (RNA, DNA) isolation, cDNA synthesis, qPCR/PCR, Protein purification, Cell-based assays Cell cultures, Aseptic techniques, DLS, FTIR, SDS PAGE, Gel electrophoresis, SEM, DMA, Microscopy MATLAB, Python, R, SPSS, SAS, Prism, Origin, Microsoft Office Scientific R&D, Experimental design, Research methods, SOPs, Data analysis, Stakeholder engagement Driving results, Strategy development, Adaptability, Problem solving, Verbal/Written communication GLP and GxP compliance, Technical writing, Journal Publications, Conference Presentations Prior to my doctoral candidacy at Syracuse University, NY, I obtained my Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license and certification in 2019, and thus conduct research with the highest ethical standards. I’m quite adventurous and while at Pittsburgh, I studied abroad in Beijing to learn about Global Engineering Technology and Management. Also at Pittsburgh, I explored various growth opportunities including a Product Development internship at Johnson & Johnson.
