About Elmis Villalta-Velasquez
My former boss sat me down a couple of years ago and asked, “What’s your goal in life?” I responded, “To be successful.” He asked, “What does success mean and look like to you?” It was such a simple question, yet I was at a loss for words. I know I wanted to be successful and yet, I had no idea what that really meant to me. Was it to be rich? Have a family? I wasn’t sure.It took a little while but I was finally able to find the answer: to develop career and life skills that will help me succeed in anything I put my mind to. One thing about me is that I don’t give up. I keep going. No matter how hard. I’m that person. Once I put my mind to something, I follow through and complete it. Integrity and work ethic are at the core of what I do. I have guided my peers to improving their selling techniques by teaching them my best practices. Instead of just trying to sell, I have mentored them on how to connect with each customer on a personal level, so they can make better recommendations that will help customers in their everyday lives.
