ABOUT ELMI AMIN
Elmi Amin is a Geotechnical / Tunnel Engineer (P.Eng) based in Ontario with experience in major infrastructure projects across the Greater Toronto Area. He specializes in transit and water tunnelling projects, contributing to the planning, design, and construction of tunnels, underground excavations, and support of excavation systems.He has been involved in various project phases including tender, feasibility, concept, and detailed design, supporting numerical modelling, analysis, and design. Elmi has conducted CIAR (Construction Impact Assessment) Level 1 and Level 2 assessments using PLAXIS 2D/3D and Oasys XDisp, and has contributed to shaft construction, cut-and-cover, and other tunnelling methods, and is experienced in tunnel rehabilitation.
