He has a long-standing track record as a seasoned deal maker in the life science industry. In early 2016, he co-founded iOmx Therapeutics AG. As CBO he helped raising a €40 million Series A round and negotiated several key agreements to further iOmx\' drug discovery programs.Elmar also co-founded GPC Biotech AG in 1997. As COO and SVP BD he helped building GPC into a publicly traded trans-atlantic biotech company. He executed many significant partnering deals resulting in over $200 million cash for the company. Elmar holds a degree in Chemistry and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Konstanz, Germany. He was a Scientist at the ICRF Laboratories in London and Department Head at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin. Since Elmar served as a Board member for several biotech companies.
