ABOUT ELIZABETH ELLI CARLTON
Elli is a seasoned wordsmith with more than 17 years of professional experience as a writer across news, marketing, research, and fiction. She was recruited to join Gartner in 2019 as a writer supporting marketing and communications research. By 2021, she moved up into management as a team lead overseeing the writers and editors for that same research. In February 2022, her skillful execution in people management, innovative ideation and leadership led to her promotion to R&A Studio manager. In this position, she led an expanded team responsible for editorial support of all non-role-based IT research and Supply Chain research, and helped found and mature Gartner’s Editorial Review Board. Despite her rapid success in management, Elli couldn\'t resist the pull back to her first love: writing. In September 2024, she transitioned into a Principal Writer role where she combines her skills in writing, innovation and leadership to produce research for CIOs and AI Leaders and promote the growth and evolution of Gartner\'s writing community.
