About Ellis Mitchell

I have been with Major League Baseball since 2022. I am currently with the Social Editorial team publishing content across Major League Baseball\'s portfolio of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts. Prior to my current position, I was part of the communications team. I was responsible for curating important and relevant league coverage from external sources and distribute them to all personnel. I helped research stats and trends for usage in league record-keeping publications, including media guides, press kits, and fact books. I also responded to daily requests and inquiries from media members and fans, while collaborating with others in the department.Besides my work in Major League Baseball, I also provide digital content for the Saturday Night Network, which is a leading SNL podcast available on several platforms. My graphics have been shared by several stars in the entertainment industry including Kenan Thompson, Sharon Stone, and Jack Harlow. I was also the head of Digital Content at Buzz Sports and Entertainment for three Philadelphia-based sport programs and podcasts. I oversaw 50% growth in engagement within the first calendar year by repurposing content produced on the show into quotes, breaking news, and digital content to build the brands of each program.I graduated from Seton Hall University in 2021 with a B.S. in Sports Management and Marketing, and a minor in Psychology. During my time at Seton Hall, I was a Peer Advisor within the Center of Academic Success. I was named Peer Advisor of the Year for the 2020-21 academic year, my proudest achievement. I worked with approximately 150 first-year students from a variety of backgrounds with the hopes of providing them inspiration, motivation and the resources needed to make the transition to college. Groups of note include student-athletes, students in the honors, nursing and diplomacy programs, and students who ended their inaugural semester with under a 2.0 GPA.I also served as the Director of Marketing for the Student Activities Board. I tailored content and reach by platform, but took on additional responsibilities by creating content for Instagram during COVID-19 and Summer 2020 when it was paramount for Seton Hall University to retain accepted students and saw an overall 40% growth in engagement during my time in this position.Thanks for your interest.
