About Ellise Morimoto
Ellise Fujii is the Managing Director, Strategy and Communications at Liliʻuokalani Trust (LT), a private operating foundation established in 1909 by Hawaii\'s last reigning monarch. LT serves the most vulnerable Native Hawaiian youth in the areas of Early Childhood (ages 0-5), Youth Programs (ages 6-18), and Opportunity Youth (ages 16-26).Ellise develops and drives corporate and executive communications, along with corporate-level strategy, to ensure alignment with LT\'s Strategic Vision 2045. She also leads the Communications and Marketing Team.Previously, she was Director of Development and Marketing at the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council. She and her team were responsible for the Friends of Scouting Annual Fund, foundation and corporate relations, event-based fundraising, major and planned gifts, and developing relationships throughout the community on behalf of Scouting.Ellise also served as Director of Development and Public Relations at the Pacific Forum, Center for Strategic and International Studies, where she concurrently held a WSD-Handa Fellowship for her research on international freshwater security.Ellise holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from the University of Hawaii. She received her BA in International Business from the University of Puget Sound and studied Economics and Commerce at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
