My tasks include delegating daily work assignments to project staff and other consultants. Perform and direct layout work. Coordinate the sampling and testing of aggregates, concrete, steel, asphalt, soils and all other materials used on the job. Resolve conflicts and interpretation problems with Contractors and Project staff. My position was expected to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects in multiple phases at any given time. The projects I managed varied in size, scope, schedule, and cost. In addition, I was to ensure that all construction engineering meets state and federal regulations. A list of other job duties are listed below.• Serves as a primary point of contact and was responsible for overall work progress and technical performance of project• Review contract plans specifications and estimates for scope, compliance and constructability• Attend key construction project meetings and work with team to ensure project scope compliance• Prepare reports and analysis to manage risk and recommend necessary adjustments• Present project status and manage the project change order process• Preside over all construction progress meetings• Manage the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established INDOT project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements• Complete the scope of work while ensuring INDOT’s quality, financial, risk management and policy expectations are met• Responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on project• Review and understands all functional (ROW, environmental, design, utility, etc.) requirements to ensure expectations are clear and establish predictable workloads• Facilitate cross-functional engagement with design and construction
