About Elliott P. Park
Elliott P. Park has been practicing law in Virginia for over two decades, initially through the creation of his own firm, Park and Company, P.C. in 1995, and now with his new firm, Park Haley LLP. Mr. Park represents both foreign and domestic clients proactively—assisting clients to foresee their needs, creating structures for them that will develop their ideas and prevent future problems. This process includes choosing from partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations to create the best business entity; drafting partnership agreements, operating agreements, bylaws, and buy-sell agreements to govern their operations; securing debt or equity financing appropriate for their goals; leasing space for their offices, stores, and factories; and protecting their trademarks and trade secrets. As his clients grow and succeed, Mr. Park advises them continuously in matters related to non-competition agreements for their employees and licensing agreements for their products and technology. He advises them in their relationships with other entities in joint ventures, franchises, and subsidiaries; and he advises and represents them in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Park also has extensive experience in resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, often acting as local counsel for out-of-state and foreign law firms with litigation in Virginia. As an adjunct professor at William & Mary Law School, Mr. Park teaches Advanced Transactional Drafting, a class preparing second year law students to negotiate and draft complex legal documents. Currently, Mr. Park is a committee member of the Standing Committee on Unauthorized Practice of Law at the Virginia State Bar, and a Master of the Bench in The John Marshall American Inn of Court. Mr. Park is also a past Chair of the International Practice Section of the Virginia State Bar.
