Designing and testing of new fixtures and LEAN-style work cells. Creation and/or alteration of product prints and other supporting documentation (i.e. PFMEA, SOP, JHA, etc.) • Creating and/or revising part and assembly prints in SolidWorks to aid in manufacturing process or create new fixtures • Testing and implementing new manufacturing processes including vision system for QC check, UV Potting Process, etc. to increase efficiency of overall manufacturing process and increase operator safety • Participating in optimizing manufacturing processes via various team based LEAN events such as Kaizen events, VAVE projects, etc. • Regulating product revision and cost status in the ERP system to support sales and supply chain teams • Designing assembly cells and fixtures to promote the LEAN principles of one piece flow, pull systems, and Poke-Yoke/Jidoka to support company\'s LEAN manufacturing initiative • Providing engineering support for New Product Development (NPD) and also Advanced Product Quality Planning processes (APQP) to ensure ability to manufacture upcoming product lines or additions • Performing DFMEAs and/or PFMEAs for new and existing products or processes in order to reduce risk in the manufacturing process
