Establish and oversee an exhibitions, acquisitions, and collections management portfolio for the newly created Department of Global Contemporary Art; Develop an acquisition plan for contemporary works that complement existing holdings and augment the art historical narrative with emphasis on diversity of representation, leveraging donor, gallery, and artist relationships to maximize limited acquisition resources; Craft special exhibitions based on existing collection strengths, institutional resources, and strategic loan partnerships; Collaborate closely with education and interpretive departments to ensure a holistic approach to pedagogy and programs and seek meaningful collaboration with academic departments outside of the museum; Collaborate with a team of curators with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and personalities to achieve institution-wide initiatives.
