With more than 40 years of experience representing people in family law matters, I have tried hundreds of cases on the entire range of issues: divorce, equitable distribution, maintenance, child support, custody/visitation, post-judgment litigation, and appeals.I have taught trial skills at Cardozo Law School, NYU Law School, and I am a founding member of the New York College of Matrimonial Trial Attorneys. The vast majority of the time, I am able to settle cases without a trial. I am trained in mediation and collaborative law, two methods of dispute resolution that are alternatives to litigation. My belief in the value of a prudent settlement is highlighted by the fact that I am the Chair of the Board of FamilyKind which provides a range of services to divorcing and separating families.
