   I design and implement evaluative research projects for STEM research and education initiatives. Usually projects are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), but I have also worked on projects sponsored by the NIH, Office of Naval Research, UC institutional funds, and private donors. In this role, I do the following- Help project leadership (usually STEM faculty) define and articulate project goals- Write the evaluation portion of the grant proposal- Determine the appropriate data sources that help measure progress toward goals or answer any other questions of interest to the project- Collect data via surveys, interviews, observations, document analysis, web search, database analysis, or any other process deemed useful to the project- Analyze and interpret data to show project outcomes, progress toward goals, areas of strength, and areas that need improvement- Author evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders. Occasionally publishes significant findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings- Hire, train, and supervise a team of graduate student and undergraduate interns- Maintain a working understanding of HTML, PHP, MySQL, used for the coding of surveys and database management- Strong proficiency in MS Office, G-Suite, and Qualtrics. Some familiarity with NVivo and SPSS. Worked for five years as \"Graduate Student Program Evaluator\"​ (Oct 2010-Oct 2015). Hired on as \"Evaluation Coordinator\" after graduation (Oct 2015).Promoted to Senior Evaluation Strategist in July 2022.
