As a Care Partner stationed in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Emergency Department, I engage in a wide variety of tasks to support patients with acute medical needs- Engage one-on-one with dozens of patients each shift to assess immediate needs and offer any physical, mental, or social support required- Provide any immediate medical needs, such as BLS intervention, catheterization, and more- Draw blood samples for laboratory analysis- Operate hospital technology to instigate and maintain continuous assessment of patient status- Charting any and all significant findings in VUMC\'s secure patient health record.
