1. Recovery Friendly Advisor

   In my role as a Recovery Friendly Advisor, I work with 80-90 workplaces comprised of approximately employees across the state of New Hampshire to help employers better support their employees in recovery and employees affected by substance use disorder. I share resources, training, and education on substance use disorder and recovery, connect the workplace with local free public health resources and partners, and provide policy guidance to improve structures to support folks in recovery. I have built strong relationships with all of the New Hampshire regional public health networks, as well as many of New Hampshire\'s Recovery Community Organizations, in order to connect the business community with the public health system. I\'ve developed a localized expertise in my own region of Strafford County to provide my businesses with the most up-to-date resources from our partners, opportunities for training, and available services. I worked with our partners across the state to create and distribute a \"Guide to Recovery Month in NH\" to share local events with the business community.I have trained many workplaces, including supervisors, leadership, and staff, on \"Substance Use Disorder & Stigma 101\",\"How to Save a Life With Narcan\", and provided overviews of the Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative. Most notably, I trained 200 New Hampshire State Troopers on Narcan administration to comply with their new policy requiring them to carry Narcan and respond in the event of a suspected opioid overdose. As part of this project, I helped update our Narcan administration presentation to include the most up-to-date data in the state and new strategies from harm reduction experts.I have presented on behalf of Recovery Friendly Workplace at the Dover Chamber of Commerce Mental Health & Recovery in the Workplace Summit, the New Hampshire Suicide Prevention Conference, and Drug Free New Hampshire \"Winter Blues\" Webinar, as well as local coalitions and community meetings.
