ABOUT ELLIE FLYNN

Ellie Flynn is a final-year student pharmacist at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. She currently serves as the APhA–ASP National Member-at-large and has held several leadership positions within APhA, including Region 6 Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator, Chapter President, and the 2024 Carl F. Emswiller Summer Intern. In recognition of her dedication to the organization and the profession, she received the APhA Student Leadership Award and the APhA Foundation Scholarship in 2025.Beyond APhA, Ellie served as the first voting student pharmacist board member for the Kansas Pharmacists Association (KPhA) and conducted research on pharmacy association engagement patterns, which she presented at both the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA) 2025 Annual Meeting and the KPhA Annual Meeting and Trade Show. She also completed an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience with KPhA and currently serves as the inaugural student pharmacist intern for the Kansas Pharmacy Foundation (KPF).Ellie also has a passion for community pharmacy and has worked as a pharmacy intern at Dillons Pharmacy since starting pharmacy school in 2022. She also maintains a PRN position at her hometown Auburn Pharmacy which she has worked at since graduating from high school. Ellie is deeply passionate about advancing the profession of pharmacy through advocacy, education, and the expansion of pharmacist-provided services. Following graduation, Ellie hopes to pursue a Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program to gain firsthand experience and insight into the needs of pharmacists and the patients they serve with a long-term goal of becoming an association management pharmacist.Outside of pharmacy, Ellie enjoys expressing her creativity and staying active. In her free time, she can often be found reading, journaling, working out, or spending time with friends. Her Myers–Briggs personality type (ENFJ) and Pioneer/Guardian Voice in Giant’s 5 Voices framework reflect her enthusiasm for leadership, positivity, and ambition, values she strives to embody in all areas of her life. Ellie’s personal mission is to empower others to reach their full potential while spreading positivity and kindness in every interaction.
