As a Prevention Specialist at LRADAC, I work within the Community Services Department to reduce the impact of substance misuse in the Midlands through education, outreach, and strong community partnerships. My work focuses on equipping youth, families, and local organizations with the tools and knowledge to make healthy, informed decisions.• Oversee LRADAC’s Tobacco Education Program (TEP), a monthly referral and intervention program for youth cited for tobacco or vape use.• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community coalitions, and local organizations to expand the reach of prevention initiatives.• Disseminate educational materials, resources, and data to key stakeholders and community audiences through presentations, events, and outreach efforts.• Create and distribute The Prevention Connection, a quarterly newsletter reaching partners with up-to-date information on local prevention efforts, community resources, and upcoming events.
