ABOUT ELLEN DE JONG
Epidemiologist with 6 years of experience applying quantitative and qualitative research methods to public health challenges. Trained as an animal scientist and epidemiologist with a strong foundation in biostatistics, surveillance and One Health, my academic career focused on antimicrobial stewardship in the Canadian dairy industry. Recently, I shifted my focus to human health as a Knowledge Management Specialist with Cancer Care Alberta. In this role, I apply my expertise in epidemiology, systematic literature reviews, and guideline development to support interdisciplinary tumour teams in creating evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to improve cancer care across the province.
