Entrepreneur, conscious communications strategist, Board leader, and speaker Ellen Yui helps innovators identify their unique space and tell their story, promoting growth, reputation, and impact. After launching her career on Capitol Hill, in the US Department of State, and PR firms Edelman and Hill & Knowlton, Ellen disrupted the agency model with the launch of YUI & Company, Inc: a fully remote firm with seasoned creatives committed to ethical practices and values-based growth. She serves C-Suites as fractional Chief Communications, Strategy & Impact Officer and coach, addressing complex subject matter and circumstances, curating positive exposure and growth, and positioning them as leaders in sectors and on issues critical to their success.Serving Fortune 100s, US presidents, start-ups, universities, NGOs, municipalities, non-profits, trade associations, authors, and artists, clients include Disney, Dow, DuPont, the US Presidential Inaugural Comm, Starwood, T.Rowe Price, the UN Development Programme, The Smithsonian, Make-A-Wish, Solidia Tech, Celavie Biosciences, NetRef, ChristianaCare, Sweet Street, American Univ. An active Board leader, Ellen served as Advisor to travel tech start-up Lucia through its acquisition by Tern, sits on the Board of nonprofit accelerator Spur Local, and is Trustee Emerita of The Fund for Education Abroad. She serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Cornell University\'s Pillsbury Inst. for Hospitality Entrepreneurship and as judge of university business competitions. A frequent guest speaker and author on communications, leadership, and entrepreneurship, she also testified before a Congressional Subcommittee of Energy and Commerce advocating for consumer protection in online purchases. Ellen holds a BA in Political Science from Boston College, the Baccalauréat from the Lycée D\'État LaMartine in Mâcon, France, and certifications from Johns Hopkins Univ.(Corporate Social Responsibility), and Luminous Warrior (Path of Power). Based in Manhattan and Takoma Park, MD, she is committed to advancing community, equity, and next-gen leaders and driven by family, a deep and abiding faith, and joy.
