ABOUT ELLEN NEWTON

I am a British transplant living in LA to follow my passion of working in the fashion industry. I earned my Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising and minored in Marketing at CSULB. Whilst studying for my degree I was able to successfully intern as a production assistant which turned into a job. In that role I learned how to quickly create tech packs, cut tickets, calculate shrinkage, source trim, and ensure that PO\'s were completed and shipped on time. At the same time I was also employed at Buffalo Exchange where I learnt how to buy for a store, keeping customers tastes and preferences before my own. In my 4 years there, I worked my way up from entry level buyer to a store manager. In that role I learnt how to run a staff of 20 people, create more profit without sacrificing staffs hours and by interpreting financial reports into actionable steps towards making the store more successful. After achieving my goals with Buffalo Exchange, I secured a role as a production coordinator at Tara Lauren. After a year in this position I am now looking to pivot my career and find a new challenge!
