About Ellen Lee Alderton

I am a writer, nonprofit leader, and consultant with expertise in public interest communications; partnership building; marketing; fundraising; and project development and design across multiple sectors, including public health, mental health, informal STEM, community science, and environmental justice. While living in Vienna, Austria in the 1990s, I learned Alfred Adler’s unpublished early memory interpretation technique from a student (Conrad Kaplan) of a student (Edith Foster) of Adler. I later visited and interviewed Foster, one of Adler’s last living pupils, and wrote a book on the technique. My book, Soul Metaphors: The Art of Adlerian Early Memory Interpretation, is the evidence-based culmination of dozens of interviews conducted with volunteers.
