Hard work should never discriminate. In order to truly be a hard worker you cannot pick and choose when you work hard; you wake up every day and decide that you will work hard at everything you do. Hard work is not a skill, it is a choice. Everyone is capable of giving 110% of their own personal effort, and everyone’s 110% looks different. What matters is that you show up every day, and give it your all. Be Yourself:You cannot be successful if you cannot be yourself. Being yourself takes courage, and an acknowledgement that you are often choosing ‘you’ over ‘popularity’. Love who you are, embrace who you are, and sleep well at night knowing you did not waste any precious energy trying to be someone different or hide parts of yourself. Tell the Truth:Most of us struggle to tell the truth on a daily basis about a lot of things: what we really want, how we really feel, what we are afraid of, why we are struggling…etc. A key part of being yourself is being honest, being comfortable with your flaws, quirks, and feelings; and making it a priority to tell the truth.Spread Kindness:What if everyone in the world decided to do one thing every day in an effort to spread kindness? The world we live in would look very different. Spreading kindness comes in endless shapes and forms, and is about harboring the spirit of helpfulness, generosity, and consideration, without expecting anything in return. Like hard work, kindness is an active choice. It does not take time or money to be kind, but it does take effort. In order to work hard, you need to be yourself - in order to be yourself, you have to be truthful - in order to spread kindness, you have to demonstrate integrity.These values are dependent upon each other, and must remain balanced.
