I am delighted to return to my hometown, to join an organisation I have long admired, in a community I have many deep connections with. Knowle West Media Centre’s mission is to Make Fair & Thriving Neighbourhoods, Together, with Art, Tech and Care. I am joining a thriving team who are at the cutting-edge of informal education; leading the charge to partner Arts with STEM, supporting young people develop their own creative and critical thinking, nurturing a community of socially engaged young people and supporting them to make positive change in their individual lives but also in the life of their community. This new role utilises my broad experience, from my community and education based training, to working on the main stages at the National Theatre, leading teacher cpd programmes and my most recent time in youth work. I’m thrilled to be on the journey with KWMC, already so inspired by the young people and brilliant team and can’t wait to share more about it!
